Protecting Company Secrets
Critical business documents like financials, contracts or IP can be hard to manage. They have to be available to many who might need them in case of emergency or continuity. But these people shouldn't be able to actually read them until then.
So how do we keep the documents from being read ... until it's the right time?
One model is to look at is nuclear missle launch control. Nuclear launches are protected by requiring multiple people to present keys and agree to launch. This prevents any one rogue person from doing the unthinkable.
We asked that question. What if your business documents could require multiple people to present keys to grant access to them?
That's what we've done. Create a cryptographically secure method to allow you to define how many keys are created for a document and how many are required to decrypt it. The wisdom of the collective people you provide keys will ensure the document is not decrypted unless necessary.
