Personal Secrets
What would your loved ones do if you were incapacitated or worse? Would they have access to critical bank, brokerage and insurance information?
You could share it with them if they were adults and mature. But what if they're not yet at that point? What if knowing the financial situation would disincentivize them from working hard?
Ideally you could give your loved ones a sealed document protected by keys. Each loved one receiving a single key. Then, if required, they could join their keys and open the document.
You may not be able to trust a single one individually, but you trust that they would do the right thing as a group.
We asked that question. What if your documents could require multiple people to present keys to grant access to them?
That's what we've done. Create a cryptographically secure method to allow you to define how many keys are created for a document and how many are required to decrypt it. The wisdom of the collective people you provide keys will ensure the document is not decrypted unless necessary.
